Our history - A passionate journey that reflects our expertise and vision.
Storytelling
So’Aroma was born out of the determination of Hiolisoa RAVELOSON, a woman of vision born under the Madagascan sun and raised amid the beauty of its traditions and the richness of its treasures.
From an early age, her palate was educated by her grandfather, “Randriamanga,” a renowned pastry chef who worked in the capital city of Antananarivo from 1953 to 1970. His reputation was such that his creations were highly sought after by the French military and police of the time, even by their leaders based in the Mahamasina district.
From his workshop, where the scents of vanilla, coffee, cocoa, and tea mingled in the air, this demanding and passionate grandfather introduced Hiolisoa and her siblings to the world of aromas and flavors, thanks to the island’s unique range of natural products.
Hiolisoa carries this precious heritage within her, driving her in her pursuit of excellence, which shines through in everything she does.
It was during a family vacation in the country in 2009 that the idea of honoring this heritage and contributing to Madagascar’s influence began to take root in her mind.
A great entrepreneur at heart, she then embarked on the study of various import/export projects (particularly local and essential products), which greatly fueled her approach.
Because all good things take time and life is a matter of seasons, So’Aroma was founded in 2024 in the Ile-de-France region (Sceaux), with the ambition of promoting Madagascan spices and fruit heritage through exceptional products.
